The Arts
It is an on going aim of Holmwood School to link music, art and dance to create a creative and expressive ‘Arts’ curriculum. Through this commitment, Holmwood demonstrates that our school values the arts and cultural development.
Aims:
To promote maximum development of creativity and imagination through providing art, craft and design activities which build on knowledge, skills an understanding of materials and processes in the wider world.
To use art as a medium for therapy through freedom of expression in Art & Design.

The aim of ‘The Music Department’ is to provide an inspiring environment that engages the pupils and ensures that music flourishes throughout their education. We offer a variety of approaches to music which includes; performances, a range of live and recorded music using ICT to capture, change and combine sounds. Holmwood School also works with the local community to entertain through movement and dance.
